If your battery frame is still good but the bottom has rusted out, replace if by welding a new plate to the frame. Ford prints called for the first two style plates to be trimmed straight, but not the last style. When the die strikes the plate to make the grove, the metal pulls, causing the sides to draw in 1/8"" in some areas. Die stamped copies, made from Ford prints."
