Contaminated fuel allowed sediment to clog the Zenith-1 Carburetor on my 1929 Murray Town Car. The float valve stuck and caused the carb to leak gas, and the car surged and backfired.
Having no experience, using the mechanic's handbook by Les Andrews and the $29.95 kit from Mike's, I diassembled and reassembled my carb. The repair is successful and the car drives, idles, and garages without a drip.
This repair was fun and I learned, yet another aspect in owning a Model A.
