Runs from pitman arm to front end. Innards to rebuild are A3305S or A3305SE (longer life). The ball location is different on each end of the drag link rod. Before Oct. '28 the hole is closest to the end for the pitman arm. In Oct. '28 this was reversed - the pitman arm ball enters closer to the center of the rod.

Most people do not realize how extremely important the radius ball assembly is to the Model A. If it is not in good condition, it will cause all sorts of problems with your front end. We have come up with a replacement which includes a grease fitting. The original ball has to be cut away from the radius arm / wish bone and a new hole drilled and welded into place. The set includes complete housing A3440S and ball.
